Job brief of a Strategic Account Manager

We wish to hire an individual for the role of a Strategic Account Manager who will play a critical role in building relationships with significant clients. You will ensure that the needs and expectations of the clients are met remarkably. You should also be able to identify new opportunities to increase sales.

As a Strategic Account Manager, the individual will represent our company. The individual will have active interactions with our major clients with excellent communication skills along and customer service attitude. You will hold the responsibility of achieving sales quota and strategic account targets.

The responsibilities of a Strategic Account Manager are:

• Managing our key accounts portfolio
• Handling complaints and problems in a timely and effective manner
• Achieving assigned strategic account objectives
• Communicating with major clients regularly and respond to specific queries
• Establishing healthy and long-term client relationships
• Suggesting solutions and innovative ideas meet the needs of the client
• Acting as the liaison between key customers and internal teams
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reports
• Monitoring sales performance metrics
• Identifying and approach new potential strategic customers
• Preparing/conducting forecasts

Requirements for a Strategic Account Manager

• A sales experience in a B2B environment
• The candidate should be available to travel as needed
• Hands-on experience as a Strategic Account Manager or Key Account manager
• Experience with CRM software and Account management systems
• Strong negotiation skills
• A problem-solving attitude
• The ability to address customer requests on time
• An understanding of sales performance metrics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• An attitude for building strong client relationships
• A graduation degree in Sales, Business Administration or any relevant field
