Responsibilities undertaken by a Production Manager

Monitor, oversee production to resolve issues and redress complaints
Supervise and evaluate the performance of production personnel such as the quality inspectors, line workers, etc
Determine the number of necessary resources such as workforce, raw materials etc and allocate them to projects accordingly
Oversee and approve maintenance work, purchasing/ordering of equipment fixes if any needed, etc

Requirements for a Production Manager

A graduate or equivalent degree in- BSc/Ba in business administration, marketing, production processes or any other relevant field will be given strong preference
Certain, minimum work experience as production director substantiated by credible references, certificates, etc
An in-depth knowledge of production management and current production processes
Experience in reporting on key production metrics
Good understanding of quality standards as well as health & safety regulations including any statutory requirements and compliance with the same
Knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and budgeting concepts
Decent proficiency in software like MS Office and ERP software
Excellent communication skills
