Job brief of a Litigation Paralegal

We are looking for a qualified and skilled litigation paralegal to be the backbone of our trial team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the integration of all details throughout the trial from start to finish. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting during all phases of the litigation process, including conducting interviews, legal research, document filing and attending trials.

Responsibilities of a Litigation Paralegal

Direct initial case assessments, pre-claim investigation, legal research
Maintain affinity between trial teams and internal/external third parties
Frame pleadings, motions and appellate documents and file them with the court
Collect relevant information from various sources
Perform administrative duties that include calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics, etc.
Assist with case settlements
Systematize documents, evidence, exhibits, briefs, and appendices
Aid voir dire, jury selection and witnesses’ preparation
Manage discovery indexes and pleadings Assist attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests

Requirements for Litigation Paralegal

Proven prior work experience as a litigation paralegal is necessary
Adequate and demonstrable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices, etc
Able to juggle multiple deadlines
Expertise in computer and databases
Paralegal associates degree or any other relevant certification
Should be a highly organized person
Attentive toward details
Can work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and communication skills
