Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without barring work progress of other colleagues
Design and install computer networks, connections, and cables with efficient functioning
Performing troubleshooting to system failures
Inspecting LAN infrastructure and fix minor or major problems/bugs
Testing and configuring software
Offering comprehensive advice and instructions to fellow staff
Maintaining and repairing hardware and peripheral devices
Evaluate network performance and find ways of improvement
Identifying bottlenecks to ensure long term efficiency of network
Performing regular data backups to protect the organization’s information
Giving technical direction to co-workers on the computer and network usage

Requirements for the job role of Network technician

B.Sc or B.A in computer science, computer engineering or any related field
Proven work experience as a network technician or any related position
Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving and analytical skills
Great communication skills
Thoroughly familiar with LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols, and network technologies
Hands-on experience with common software and hardware
CCENT/CCNA qualifications are strongly preferred
